Coach Jen has been coaching and officiating the sport of volleyball for over 20 years. She began her coaching as an assistant to her varsity alma mater, where she played four years starting varsity, which quickly led to a deeper love for the sport and coaching. She then joined the coaching and administrative staff of Metro American VBC, then joining Platform VBC when it was formed by Fran Duvall. She is currently the Varsity Girls & Boys Head Coach and JV Assistant Coach at a local private school. She has coached all levels from ages 10 to 18 and enjoys watching players grow individually and with their teams. Over the last 18 years she has also been officiating volleyball, previously certified with both PAVO and NCAA, currently certified with USAV in the CHRVA Region and NFHS with largest officiating board in Maryland, and also serving as the board's Assigner. If she's not coaching or officiating, you can probably find her cheering on one of her daughters either playing volleyball or swimming, or she might be cooking dinner for the hungry athletes.
Appreciating what Fran Duvall began when she started Platform Volleyball Club in 2011, Coach Jen hopes to continue the goals and philosophies of Platform by focusing on individual player growth, teaching, technical training, and team building in a fun and competitive environment.

Hey I’m Coach Jen! I cannot wait for this club season! I’ve been in love with volleyball since my first year playing in 7th grade. I played on varsity at Washington Christian Academy during my high-school career. I was captain for my junior and senior years and made the 2nd team all conference in 2018 for PVAC. I also played club at Maryland Juniors. In 2021, I became the head coach of Washington Christian Academy’s middle school volleyball team. This past season, we earned our spot as #1 seed in the league again. I am also the assistant coach for the varsity team. This will be my third year with Platform and I am beyond excited and ready for this season. I cannot wait to help our players learn more about this amazing sport and help fuel their love for it! See you at practice!
